The sweetness of Twice, the spice of Red Velvet and the confidence of BlackPink – Cherry Bullet are a group all of their own, carving out the niche we all so desperately wanted.
Full of bright lights and vibrant colours, Cherry Bullet’s debut track Q&A is the perfect mix of sassy and sweet.
High quality graphics have the girls using themselves as their own video game avatars, dancing in a video game world as they playfully competing against each other. Pixel art and neon signage paints a cheery picture, but the ladies of Cherry Bullet pull no punches, delivering spectacular vocals and infectious choreography.
With a catchy point dance reminiscent of TWICE’s ‘What Is Love’, the girls of Cherry Bullet keep a bright and upbeat pace as they game and sing.
Stand out vocals come from Haeyoon in the final chorus as the pace and vitality increases. Though the concept seems cute and happy, they do not lose the underlying grit of the ‘Bullet’ in their name. While the line distribution leaves something to be desired, this remains one of my favourite debut tracks, and I can’t wait to see what they will do next.
